CHP exists to provide high quality health and social care facilities which meet local needs. We are investment specialists, developments experts, property and asset managers, and estate planners. Our people understand primary and community infrastructure and work tirelessly to support the NHS integrate services and deliver excellent patient care. Our properties house GP services, community nursing, rehabilitation services, outpatients, diagnostic services, pharmacies, dental services and other community services.
There are two main strands to our work. We are the Head Tenant for over 300 properties in England, comprising 5% of the NHS estate, driving the use and value from these assets for the benefit of patients and communities. We also maintain an investment portfolio where we maintain a 40% interest in 49 NHS LIFT (PPP) companies across the country, protecting and enhancing the £100 million of public sector investment used to leverage £2.5 billion of capital investment.
As the context within which we operate continues to evolve, so too must we as an organisation. Over the course of the next few months we will focus on our organisational capability and capacity – the shaping of our teams, the development of our staff and the capability of our leadership. We must also respond to the ongoing development of ICS’s and how this impacts our work, bringing in a mixture of challenges and opportunites as we engage with these stakeholders around the future of healthcare delivery.
The Chief Financial Officer is a key part of this, responsible for developing and delivering the company’s financial strategy and business planning, with wider responsibility for governance, assurance, risk and procurement. This is a key board director and leadership post, responsible for engaging with an array of stakeholders across the country including the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and ICS’s.
We are looking for an exceptional financial leader with substantial experience of working at board level and a proven track record of operating in complex and ambitious organisations. With strong stakeholder management skills and sound business acumen, they will understand how to develop and deliver transformation and have values that match closely to our own.
This is a great opportunity to join us at a pivotal time for both CHP and the wider NHS, offering the chance to make a real impact on the future of how healthcare is delivered in the UK.
The organisation has offices in London, Manchester and Birmingham, however CHP is keen to foster a flexible working environment, and this role will need to balance visibility within the organisation with this.
