Description

CHP exists to provide high quality health and social care facilities which meet local needs.  We are investment specialists, developments experts, property and asset managers, and estate planners. Our people understand primary and community infrastructure and work tirelessly to support the NHS integrate services and deliver excellent patient care.  Our properties house GP services, community nursing, rehabilitation services, outpatients, diagnostic services,  pharmacies, dental services and other community services.

We were originally incorporated in 2001 to develop and deliver investment in the primary and community care estate via the NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) initiative.  In 2013 we took on the role of Head Tenant building the capability needed to manage this unique portfolio of over 300 properties from scratch.  Since then, CHP has grown and diversified.  As Head Tenant we manage over 300 properties in England – comprising 5% of the NHS  estate, we drive the use and value from these assets for the benefit of local patients and communities.  As the NHS transforms care delivery, we are focussed on how our buildings responds to meet these future needs; from the digitialisation of care delivery, data driven decision making to meeting environmental sustainability goals.

We strive to lead the field in what we do.  Our priorities and our people support this.  They encompass the ambition we have for the future; and our willingness to innovate and change order to deliver improved health outcomes in local communities.  Our expertise is highly valued by those we work with. We prioritise our active participation in local conversations in order to align our portfolio to emerging clinical service models and service contract needs.

The backbone of the company is our investment portfolio, where we maintain a 40% interest in 49 NHS LIFT (PPP) companies across the country, protecting and enhancing the £100 million of public sector investment used to leverage £2.5 billion of capital investment. This role focuses on that portfolio, working alongside the Investment Directors to monitor and report on performance. All of these contracts are due to come to an end over the next decade, and the role will contribute to the development and delivery of the Lift Contract End of Term Strategy as part of the wider investment team.

We are looking for an individual with a solid experience of PPP or wider project finance, who understands investment management and reporting, and with good experience of creating and reviewing complex financial models. Collaborative and with the ability to constructively challenge, they should be comfortable working with an array of internal and external stakeholders, and we want someone who will be passionate about our vision and values.

This is a great opportunity to join us at a pivotal time for both CHP and the wider NHS, offering the chance to make a real impact on the future of how healthcare is delivered in the UK. We offer a significant package of benefits, and the role offers the long-term possibility of the support needed to take on an Investment Director role.

The organisation has offices in London, Manchester and Birmingham, however CHP is keen to foster a flexible working environment, with many staff being home based.
