Description

CHP exists to provide high quality health and social care facilities which meet identified local need. We work with a range of partners to provide innovative and sustainable spaces for the benefit of patients, service users, and those who care for them. We maximise the benefits of our existing assets and respond to needs for new developments. We are leaders in our field, with a unique set of skills and experience in commercial investment, community infrastructure development and property management.

Wholly owned by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, and a key member of the NHS Family, CHP was incorporated in 2001 and was focussed immediately on improving community-based health and social care services, by working to improve the NHS estate through Public Private Partnerships established by the NHS LIFT programme.  In 2013 CHP were given the major challenge of taking on the role of Head Tenant from the former Primary Care Trusts (PCTs).

We are committed to maximising and continuously improving the use, value and customer experience from these assets for the benefit of many stakeholders including patients and communities.   As Head Tenant for over 300 properties in England (comprising 5% of the NHS estate); and with a 40% interest in 49 NHS LIFT (PPP) companies which provide a breadth of health and care facilities across the country, we do not underestimate our responsibilities as a key infrastructure partner in the NHS nationally, regionally and locally. 

As the NHS as a whole evolves in response to the ambitious 10-year agenda for change set out in the Long Term Plan, we understand that the estate itself must be developed as an enabler in this journey of transformation, acting as a catalyst for changing the way services are delivered locally and supporting greater care in community-based settings. Integrated primary care provision needs modern, efficient buildings equipped with the latest technology to support the development and expansion of services.  As an organisation, CHP must respond to the ongoing development of system based working, ensuring effective, meaningful an continuous engagement with our stakeholders around the future of healthcare delivery.

We are looking for a visible and inspirational leader to join us as Director of Transformation.  This is a pivotal new role which will be focused on leading a programme of business transformation within the company and out to our customers - driving business process improvements, cultural change and digital transformation at scale.  The successful candidate will bring experience of operating at Director level within a large scale company or public sector organisation and a proven track record of delivering complex business process change and organisational transformation.  Above all else we are seeking an individual  able to set a vision; and motivate key teams around a commitment to maximising customer outcomes and satisfaction.
